The Carolina RailHawks defeated CASL Elite adult men’s soccer team 4-2 on Friday night at WRAL Soccer Center.  The RailHawks continued to show their strong play throughout the match against a CASL Elite team that was made up of former professional and collegiate players.  CASL Elite provided a more physical match for the RailHawks that was not seen in the RailHawks first two preseason exhibition matches.  The first half ended with both teams tied 1-1 with both scored coming off deflections.  The RailHawks were able to find the back of the net three times in the second half to cap off the victory.

The Carolina RailHawks will continue their preseason with a match against rival Charleston Battery at WakeMed Soccer Park’s Field #4 on Saturday March 19th at 4:00PM.  All preseason exhibition matches are free for spectators.

“I think the guys were a little tired tonight.  It’s been the end of a long week of training where we have run really hard and worked on a lot of things.  It was good to score four goals.  We are disappointed in allowing the two goals and one in particular, but the good thing about that is we can learn from those mistakes and improve going forward.  It’s been a good first two weeks.
