Indianapolis’ new pro soccer team has received more than 2,000 season ticket deposits since the team’s entry into the North American Soccer League was announced last month.
To keep the community involved in Indy Pro Soccer’s plans, visions and goals for professional soccer in Indiana and help build the fan base, President Peter Wilt will host and attend a series of events in upcoming months.
On March 7, Indy Pro Soccer and Slaughterhouse- 19 BYB, an affiliate of the Brickyard Battalion supporters group, will co-host the first “Build the Brick House Party” at the Stacked Pickle at 6:30 p.m. This event will be the first of many designed to build the biggest and most supportive fan base in the League.
The supporters group for the new club, the Brickyard Battalion, which was recently recognized by the Indianapolis-Marion County City-County Council for their commitment to bring professional soccer to Indianapolis, will also be represented by several of its chapters at the event. The Brickyard Battalion and its affiliate, Slaughterhouse-19 BYB, will be registering new members and making plans for supporting the team. The team will be taking $25 per season ticket deposits to all sections including the Brick House, the supporters section at Carroll Stadium on the campus of IUPUI.
Wilt will also be available to share details and answer questions about Indy Pro Soccer at the Conexión Breakfast Series, hosted by the Indy Chamber’s Hispanic Business Council, on February 28 at 8 a.m.
The name for the men’s pro soccer team is in the hands of the soccer community via an advisory poll. Soccer fans have the opportunity to vote from a list of possible names or submit an original idea for the Indianapolis expansion team.
