The Tampa Bay Rowdies announced on Friday that they have partnered with Lucid Appeal to launch the club’s first mobile app for Android and iOS. The app will provide team news, statistics, schedules, images and video gallery, user profiles, and more. In addition, the Rowdies and Lucid Appeal, a Los Angeles based mobile app development agency, will add push notifications, deals, and more to work towards a highly differentiated mobile experience for Rowdies fans.

The partnership is a large step forward in the development of a complete mobile strategy for the Rowdies that will help the club create a mobile community for its fans to connect with each other and with the team through an engaging and dynamic interface. The Rowdies will be the first soccer team that Lucid Appeal has worked with, but the company has recently developed mobile apps for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers.

The mobile app will be developed over the next month, and will be released around the 2013 NASL season opener. The reigning NASL Champion Rowdies open up the 2013 season at home against the Carolina Railhawks on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 7:30pm ET.
