RailHawks Look to Add Account Executives

 

The Carolina RailHawks are looking forward to the 2011 NASL season and are in need of energetic and motivated professionals to join their sales staff.  Do you have what it takes to join the fast paced sales department of your 2010 NASL Conference Champion Carolina RailHawks?  

Position posting:  Ticket Sales – Account Executive

Position Summary:   The Carolina RailHawks professional soccer team of the NASL seeks energetic, motivated and professional individuals to market and sell full seasons, partial seasons, mini ticket plans and group sales through outbound sales activities for the upcoming 2011 season. Outbound sales activity includes phone sales, e-marketing sales, meeting appointments, and grassroots marketing promotional event appearances. 

Position Reports to: Director of Ticket Sales

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

 

  • Sell full-seasons, partial plans, and various group ticket products of Carolina RailHawks
  • Create and develop new business through outbound calls, event appearances, and community outreach
  • Manage all personal sales accounts and work with service representatives to provide high levels of customer service
  • Attain daily, weekly and monthly assigned sales activity goals which include hitting targets for # of calls, appointments and community networking events.
  • Attend promotional and community events to increase and drive sales
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities and sales in ticketing database
  • Assist the game day responsibilities of sales department
  • Accountable for reaching defined sales goals and established revenue targets
  • Participate in team provided Sales training, and seek additional sales training opportunities, to further enhance personal sales development.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Assist Director of Sales or Senior Management in the development of ticket sales plans, packages and promotions which will lead to maximized ticket sales revenue
  • Develop own lead lists and prospecting techniques above and beyond provided lead lists
  • Assist team in building an overall positive sales culture within the organization.

Qualifications: 
 

  • Bachelor's degree required.  1-2 years of sports ticket sales or general sales experience a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public in a friendly and professional manner
  • High energy; ability to remain focused on sales goals and work independently
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Database Applications and basic computer skills, Excel, Outlook and Word software.
  • Previous ticketing software solutions experience or ticket operations experience a plus

Compensation:  Base Salary + Commission
