The deal is simple for FC Edmonton - win to stay alive in the race to host Soccer Bowl. And for the Carolina RailHawks victory will return them to the top of the NASL standings where they have been in pole position for half the season so far. A RailHawks win will also eliminate the defending champion Tampa Bay Rowdies from contention.
After advancing to the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals this week, NASL leaders Carolina RailHawks will want to continue their momentum when they travel to face the FC Edmonton at Clarke Stadium. FC Edmonton has not beaten Carolina in its last four encounters. The last time the two met was on April 13 of this year with the RailHawks posting a 2-1 triumph.
