CA RailHawks U-13/14 and U-15/16 head to Brazil

CA RailHawks

The U-15/16 and U-13/14 Capital Area RailHawks Academy teams will be traveling to Brazil for a week of matches and training.

The squads will play three competitive matches against local academy teams, including two against Desportivo and Fluminense FC. In addition to the matches, the CA RailHawks will take part in five training sessions and watch an Ituano FC PRO training session. In between the time on the field, the teams will take in professional soccer matches and experience the Brazilian soccer culture leading up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The Desportivo Academy is owned by Traffic Sports, the parent company of the Carolina RailHawks.  Throughout the trip, Desportivo coaches will be scouting and spending time with CA RailHawks Academy players.  This is a great learning opportunity for players, as the teams will be able to obtain a different view on soccer culture and experience the coaching and philosophy of Brazilian coaches. The team will also take part in a beach soccer scrimmage and training session in what is expected to be sunny and 80 degree weather.
