An ET-GK session will only be cancelled if the Town of Cary closes the soccer fields at WakeMed Soccer Park for weather-related issues, or if lighting or thunder is experienced and expected to persist during a session.
If a session gets cancelled due to Town of Cary weather-related field closures, the RailHawks will send out an e-mail alerting you of this cancellation at the e-mail address provided when you registered for ET-GK, as well as post the cancellation on the RailHawks Facebook page and Twitter account .
You may also proactively check the following Town of Cary Website by clicking here or calling the Town of Cary Weather Hotline at 919-319-4502 to check for field closures (updated for field closures by 5:00pm on weekdays).
In the event of any sighting of lightning or sound of thunder, ET-GK coaches will remove all players from the field and take them indoors at the stadium. The kids will stay indoors for at least 30 minutes from the time of the last sighting of lightning or the last sound of thunder.
If a session gets completely cancelled, goalkeepers can attend one of the ET-GK make-up sessions. Goalkeepers must notify Pete Sciandra at email@example.com with the make-up session date that they would like to attend.
